Yesterday was the launch of my new CD, and it felt very auspicious that it happened at a creative gathering called ‘The Stories We Are’. This two day event was organised by the Centre for Narrative Leadership and my friend Geoff Mead, storyteller, writer and poet. At a similar event two years ago, the seeds for this CD had been planted, after several people encouraged me to record some of my songs. There was a magical sense of completion for me that these quiet impulses way back finally came to fruition in the form of an actual CD arriving just in time. I could offer it to the group and now launch it into the wider community of friends and people that may wish to hear it.
The gathering had attracted people from all over the world, including Denmark, Crete, Turkey, the Netherlands, New Zealand, USA and the UK. It felt very inspiring to be in the company of such creative people who are all exploring a deeper meaning in their lives and what their particular contribution might be to shine some light into these dark and often seemingly hopeless times. I left with a strong sense of gratitude and renewed hopefulness that all of who we are and what we do matters. Thank you friends.
